
This is a Community Based Organization (CBO) that was established in 2018 with a target to reach out to the general public with eductive information, preventive measures and health support toward the HIV, Gender based violence victims, Sexually harassed Females and the orphans.
With the increasing cases of descrimination against the people living with HIV/AIDS, the organization was also intended to create an HIV/AIDS stigma free community for all people living with HIV/AIDS and to improve on ART adherence.
It was also purposed to achieve a successful reduction in HIV infection rate to approximately zero percent and this is planned to be achieved through sensitization of young generation about possible ways of protection against HIV despite involvement in sexual activities.
The proposed target group so far are the people at high risks of getting infected with HIV and these include;
- People living with HIV/AIDS
- Young people of ages between 13 to 25
- Female sex workers
- Sexually violated females mainly those violated by their close male relatives like the fathers, uncles and all other kinds of care takers or guidians. This group also include all the females who are raped and are not in position to access HIV prevention support and advice.
Mission:
To promote HIV prevention, enrollment in care and treatment and to provide competent psychosocial support to people living with HIV and AIDS.
Vision:
Communities with zero HIV related stigma and discrimination.
Objectives;
i. To promote HIV and AIDS awareness among vulnerable youths in rural areas.
ii. To link and refer youths for HIV and other related infections testing.
iii. To link, refer and follow-up all youths in care and support especially our members.
iv. To support, house and link people living with HIV to basic support from all sources.
